About

Specialized Counselling

For People Who Don't Always Fit In...

1

Highly Sensitive People

A Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) is someone who is deeply sensitive to the world, physically, emotionally, and/or socially. Sensitivity is not considered a disorder, but is a personality trait that exists in approximately 15 to 20% of people.

2

Parents of High Needs Children

High needs (or spirited) children are children that are more sensitive and intense. There are many potential conditions or disabilities that may be behind such high needs. Parents of children with high needs face a unique and sometimes challenging journey.

3

Neurodivergence

A person who is neurodivergent has a brain that processes information differently than most people. Whether you have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or you self-identify as neurodivergent, this is a safe place for you.

At Inner Haven Counselling, we are proud to work with people who feel like they don't always fit in. Whether you consider yourself to be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), gifted, intense, or neurodivergent individual, or even if you don't associate with a label, we respect the challenges of walking a unique path. We are 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly, and respect non-traditional relationships and families. We also have experience with the struggles of parenting children with high needs who tend to walk their own special paths. Click below to learn more about some of these areas or book an appointment now to explore your own uniqueness!
